Consider using a dash – contrary to what you may have been told, a dash can actually improve certain domain names (within limits). It can help the search engines identify key words in the domain name. And using a dash may also help you obtain a good domain name when similar names without the dash have already been taken. Particularly if the similar names are not used (ie, they are parked), you will have an opportunity to build your hypenated name into the more recognizable name over time.
